   Oct 18,  · There were several albums in my lifetime that were delivered to all white American households, like a free box of Tide. Though for some reason, I was never home to accept this package, or perhaps Breakfast In America was left on my doorstep and someone appropriated it either way, I’ve never been able to justify this bit of art-rock that one day wasn’t there, and /5(K).

   "Take the Long Way Home" is the fourth single and sixth track of Supertramp's album Breakfast in America. It was the last song written for the album, being penned during the nine-month recording cycle. According to its composer Roger Hodgson, the song deals with how the desire to go home can go both ways. I'm talking about not wanting to go home to the wife, take the long way home .

   May 13,  · When I started collecting vinyl in the spring of , I discovered Supertramp. Yes, I knew the hits. But never knew the rest of the amazing albums they made. Like Queen, my preffence goes out to their 70's work. 'Crime of the Century' will still be my favorite of the decade, but 'Breakfast in America' is a very close second/5(K).
